National ice hockey player Moritz Seider from the Detroit Red Wings has won the duel against Stanley Cup winner Nico Sturm in the North American professional league NHL. The Red Wings defeated the San Jose Sharks 7-4.

Defender ace Seider scored the important goal to make it 5:4 in the last third (54th). It was the first win after four consecutive defeats for Seider and his team, while San Jose suffered another defeat after three wins.

Seider was on the ice for 21.17 minutes with the Red Wings, center Sturm was on the ice for 12.40 minutes with the team from California.

When the Seattle Kraken beat the New York Rangers 3-2 in extra time, German national goalkeeper Philipp Grubauer was absent from the home team due to a lower body injury.
