“Thunderbolts” like “Suicide Squad.” Is this how the Marvel Studios film with Florence Pugh will start?

One of the upcoming projects from Marvel Studios is “Thunderbolts,” starring Florence Pugh and Sebastian Stan. Not much is known about the film’s plot yet, but recent rumors suggest it will be something like Marvel’s version of “Suicide Squad.”

“Thunderbolts” – Is this how the movie will start?

Reporter Daniel Richtman revealed details about the opening sequence of the film. There aren’t any major spoilers here, just the starting point of the plot. However, it’s worth remembering that this leak may not be confirmed.

The movie supposedly starts with a scene where Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), US Agent (Wyatt Russell), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) are sent on a mission by Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) with the task of eliminating an unknown target. The team members quickly realize they have been sent on a suicide mission and decide to join forces to oppose Val.

Is the character they are supposed to eliminate Sentry (Lewis Pullman)? How will the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) and Red Guardian (David Harbour) get involved in the plot? Will the rumors be confirmed that Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz), Bill Foster (Laurence Fishburne), and Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (Harrison Ford) will also appear in the film? Time will tell.

What do we know about “Thunderbolts”?

“Thunderbolts” will tell the story of a group of villains employed by the US government as a special task force.

The stars of “Thunderbolts” will be Florence Pugh (as Yelena Belova) and Sebastian Stan (as the Winter Soldier). They will be joined by David Harbour (as Red Guardian), Wyatt Russell (as US Agent), Hannah John-Kamen (as Ghost), Olga Kurylenko (as Taskmaster), and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine). The cast also includes Harrison Ford, who will take over the role of Thaddeus Ross from the late William Hurt.

The project will be directed by television veteran Jake Schreier (“Kidding,” “Shameless”). The screenplay was written by Eric Pearson.

Filming is set to begin in March, with the premiere scheduled for May 5, 2025.
