Coach Edin Terzic from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund is aiming for success in the duel at Borussia Mönchengladbach. “We will play to win and definitely want to get the three points,” said Terzic before the last competitive game of the year on Friday (8:30 p.m. / DAZN): “We now have to do everything the body has to offer again.”
To be successful in the “difficult” away game in Gladbach, “you have to show a good performance right from the start,” said Terzic. After the bitter 2-0 defeat at VfL Wolfsburg on Tuesday, his team will now “show a different face”.
Terzic still has to do without Marco Reus. The 33-year-old “is not yet free of pain” and will therefore fail like in Wolfsburg. “We hope that we will get him fit again in the next few weeks so that he will be back in the new year,” said Terzic without explaining the pain in more detail. Most recently, Reus had complained of ankle pain.
Terzic was disappointed that Mats Hummels was not nominated for the World Cup, but does not expect this to have an impact on the game. “We are sure that he will make a good game for us,” said Terzic.
