After his long suspension for sexual harassment expired, quarterback Deshaun Watson still had some room for improvement in the NFL comeback. In his first outing for the Cleveland Browns, the football star failed to get a touchdown pass at his former club Houston Texans.
Watson afforded an interception and made twelve of 22 passes, Cleveland won 27:14.
The US professional league had increased Watson’s ban from six to eleven games in mid-August because the 27-year-old is said to have arranged massages with numerous women between March 2020 and March 2021 – 25 filed a lawsuit.
Watson, then still in the service of the Texans, is said to have asked for sexual acts. Most cases have now been settled out of court.
Meanwhile, Amon-Ra St. Brown has already scored touchdowns number five and six in the season, and the German-American has twelve in his still young NFL career.
The wide receiver won with the Detroit Lions against the Jacksonville Jaguars 40-14 and again caught passes for over 100 yards.
St. Brown’s older brother Equanimeous lost 19:28 with the Chicago Bears to his former club Green Bay Packers. The pass catcher had moved to the Windy City before the season.
