CFR Cluj champion of Romania for the eighth time

Thanks to their 2-1 victory against Universitatea Craiova, CFR Cluj are guaranteed to be Romanian champions for the eighth time in their history.

CFR Cluj clinched their eighth Romanian league title on Sunday with a 2-1 victory against Universitatea Craiova. His runner-up, the FCSB, had been hung on Saturday 2-2 by FC Voluntary, leaving a first match point for the CFR.

This title is the fifth in a row gleaned by Cluj. Club coach Dan Petrescu wished to “thank the fans” for the support throughout this season.
