What is “Feud: Capote vs. the Swans” about?

“Feud: Capote vs. the Swans” will depict the conflict between writer Truman Capote and a group of society women known as the “Swans.” Tom Hollander will portray the writer, author of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and “In Cold Blood,” who betrayed the friendship of the influential women by publishing a story in “Esquire” magazine, revealing the secrets of Babe Paley (Naomi Watts), C.Z. Guest (Chloë Sevigny), and Slim Keith (Diane Lane).

Calista Flockhart and Demi Moore will play the other two “Swans,” Lee Radziwill and Ann Woodward. Treat Williams will portray William Paley, the husband of Naomi Watts’ character. Molly Ringwald, on the other hand, will appear as Joanne Carson, a friend of Capote.

“Feud: Capote vs. the Swans” will debut on January 3 on FX and consists of eight episodes. The directors include Gus Van Sant, Max Winkler, and Jennifer Lynch. Jon Robin Baitz serves as the showrunner.

“Conflict” – Ryan Murphy’s anthology

The first season of “Conflict” focused on the legendary rivalry tinged with envy and a close dependency between Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, portrayed by Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange, respectively. Ryan Murphy conceived “Conflict” as one of his anthology series, with each season dedicated to a different famous scandal.

A second season was initially planned to explore the successor to the British throne, Charles, and Princess Diana, but Murphy ultimately rejected the proposed script.
