In March, “Road House,” a remake of “Road House,” will hit screens. On a series of new posters with the characters, we can see, among others, controversial MMA fighter Conor McGregor and rapper Austin Post, known as Post Malone.

Amazon MGM Studios, responsible for the production of “Road House,” revealed today that rapper Post Malone played a role in the film. He plays the character Carter. Check out how he and the other cast members appear on the official posters: Conor McGregor, Daniela Melchior, Jessica Williams, Billy Magnussen, Lukas Gage, and Darren Barnet.
What do we know about “Road House”?
“Road House” is to be a loose remake of the original. The main character, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, is a former UFC fighter who works as a bouncer in a nightclub in Florida. Upon arrival, he discovers that he has entered a den of crime, corruption, and violence. And he will have to clean it up. The cast also includes Billy Magnussen (“No Time to Die”) and Daniela Melchior (“The Suicide Squad”).
Work on the new “Road House” has been ongoing for nearly two decades. A few years ago, MGM planned to give the titular role to UFC champion Ronda Rousey. Later, the studio’s plans changed several times until the studio itself changed. The screenplay for the latest version was written by Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry. Behind the camera for the production, described by producers as “big, entertaining cinema for everyone,” is Doug Liman (“Edge of Tomorrow,” “The Bourne Identity”).

“Road House” premieres on March 21 on Amazon Prime Video. Prior to that, the film will be shown at the SXSW festival in Austin.
