According to the latest rumor, in “The Last Dance,” Venom will be trying to avoid the fate that has befallen all his variants in the multiverse—death at the hands of Spider-Man. To achieve this, he plans to kill a 10-year-old Peter Parker. However, Eddie Brock befriends the boy and abandons his murderous plans. Soon, he discovers that a group of sinister symbiotes (including Toxin) is lurking, targeting Peter.

Could this be the same Peter whose birth we witnessed in another Sony Spider-Verse production, “Madame Web”? Time will tell.

Reportedly, Juno Temple plays Sergeant Patricia Robertson, and Chiwetel Ejiofor appears as Orwell Taylor, whose son is one of Carnage’s victims.

“Venom: Last Dance” is set to hit theaters on October 25 this year.

The screenplay was written by Tom Hardy and Kelly Marcel, who was the producer and writer of the first two installments. She co-wrote the first part with Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, and wrote the second part on her own. Her screenwriting credits also include “Saving Mr. Banks” (2013) and “Fifty Shades of Grey” (2015). She will also be directing the film, marking her directorial debut.
